Retail Coverage System - Office User Interface For Laptop and Pocket PC
The IS department of the company Philip Morris World Trade is having applications developed for its users. One of it is called CallCard. It allows merchandisers to capture data relative to point of sales (POS). Because it is an online application the merchandisers can not capture data directly when actually visiting a POS. So currently data is captured on paper and then later entered in the system when merchandisers are back to the office. The scope of this diploma project is to build a prototype of an application that could work as an offline application on a Pocket PC. The application would replace the paper and allow merchandisers to capture electronic data directly during their visits. This would reduce the work and time spent for capturing data. Content There were three phases in this project. The first one was to perform and write analysis and specifications. The second one was to program the application for the Pocket PC. And the last one was about documentation: report, and further specification for data storage and transfer. Technology " Visual Studio .NET Framework and the .NET Compact Framework. " C# " SQL Server CE
